WebBisley is a village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Bisley-with-Lypiatt, in the Stroud district, in Gloucestershire, England, about 4 miles (6 km) east of Stroud.The once-extensive manor included Stroud and Chalford, Thrupp, Oakridge, Bussage, Througham and Eastcombe.In 1891 the parish had a population of 5171. But when the first guns came out they all had fluted cylinders. Seems that Ruger had issues with the cylinder rollmark so tried passing the Bisley off with a fluted cylinder.
