WebJul 15, 2006 · The problem i'm having is that when its in low rpm's the bike kind of sputters. A few times the bike actually died on me from this and then wouldnt start up again b/c the battery got drained. I replaced the battery, and so far the bike hasnt died completely on me yet. But the sputtering still happens. WebFeb 17, 2016 · My '06 Street Glide idles fine, but when I roll on the throtte, the engine hesitates at low rpm. The condition improves when the rpms are increased. I checked and gapped the plugs, but the condition still exists. I am thinking that it may be related to a clogged fuel filter or TPS.

WebApr 17, 2016 · There are 3 fuel circuits to the carb. They affect different throttle ranges, low (pilot), mid (needle) and high (main). Knowing how far your throttle is open when the sputtering starts gives an indication of what fuel circuit is having the problem. Then you can troubleshoot the components that affect that circuit/throttle range.
