Essentially they comprise a base of polyester resin strengthened with epoxy molecules in the backbone of the molecular chain. Vinyl esters also use peroxides (e.g. MEKP) for hardening. Webvinyl esters have reactive double bonds at the ends of the chains only, while the unsaturated polyester resins have the reactive double bonds distributed throughout the chains. Thus, the 1 R . E .
